In my opinion, the media’s coverage of Tai Chi and Qigong has been limited, and many people in the West are unfamiliar with these practices and don’t even know how to pronounce Qigong. As a practitioner of both for decades, I have written over 700 articles in English to raise awareness of the healing arts. However, there is still a lack of understanding, so I am conducting a survey to examine how Tai Chi and Qigong are portrayed in the media.
I am grateful for the assistance of several of my students in shaping the survey questions. I am also pleased to announce that Dr. CJ Rhoads, a long-time practitioner and experienced academic researcher, has agreed to collaborate on this project.
The survey is relatively short, consisting mostly of multiple-choice questions that can be easily navigated within 3 minutes. If you are reading this, you are likely familiar with these healing arts. To gain a better understanding of the general population’s awareness, I encourage you to take the survey and also to share the survey link or this article with your friends and family and better yet post this article on your social media accounts. Thank you for your help in this endeavor. The survey is confidential, but if you provide your email address at the end of the survey, we will be happy to share the results with you. Thank you.
